It’s clear that the current economic climate is stressful for many people. With the threat of redundancies, banks going bust, big companies going into administration, and poor pension performance, no wonder the global economic mood is a little pessimistic.
However, rather than wait to be made redundant (if you’re in full time employment) or wait for a job (if you’re looking for a job), I recommend investigating how you can work for yourself and earn an extra income. Sure it’s a difficult time to make money, but it’s worth being proactive to make some cash to prepare for the worst. You never know, your sideline might even become a full business!

So my feeds have now moved over to Google, but with their supposedly “more accurate reporting method”, my feed values have dropped significantly. My feed count for Daily Eco Tips was 108 before the move, and it dived to 78 (a 27.7% drop); my feed count for EnviroGadget was 165 before the move, diving to 112 after the move (a 32.1% drop); my feed count for PowerDosh was 43 before the move, and now 23 after the move (a 46.5% drop).

I’ve done some link building using article directories before, but I recently had a thought that they might be worthless these days. The search engines are always updating their algorithms (particularly Google) to present users with the most accurate results for their search terms. Since the search engines work so hard to drop link farms from their results, surely article directories now fall into that bracket?
