I was looking around at dropped .co.uk domains recently, and I discovered a few potentially good domains, but not ones I could think of using in any sensible way. Therefore I thought I’d share them here on PowerDosh.com for free. If you register or use any of my ideas, I’d love to know how you got on. (I also wouldn’t mind a beer in return either, if you’re offering.)

All of these domains were available to register at the time of writing.

uncrazy.co.uk

Could be a joke shop, fancy dress shop, gadgets, gifts. Or if you have a sense of humour, it could be a directory of psychiatrists.

roosts.co.uk

Great brandable name for a flat-sharing, or home-based directory, perhaps a lodger finding website. Anything to do with homes really, as roosts is the plural for where birds sleep at night, or the verb of where birds sleep at night. Could even be an avarian-based pet shop, or anything to do with birds.

absconder.co.uk

The name suggests a prison break or a runaway. Perhaps a prison-themed DVD shop, or some kind of GPS tracking website.

hightechproperty.co.uk

Any high end property, perhaps with lots of gadgets.

inflatablefun.co.uk

Lends itself to anything to do with inflatables. Probably best as a shop.

learningenvironments.co.uk

Anything to do with immersive environments for learning. Likely to be a growth area with 2nd life, etc.

smellygifts.co.uk

Great name for a gift shop of soaps and perfumes.

greenfuelstations.co.uk

Name suggests a central website to identify where you can get biofuels, Low Pressure Gas (LPG), free electricity charging, etc.

purevelocity.co.uk

A great generic, possibly for an advertising company, or something to do with fast cars, boats, etc.

groovyideas.co.uk

A fun and novel company name. Again lends it self to a consulting or advertising company. Anything to do with innovation and invention.

So there are some great domains I found. I couldn’t come up with anything specific for any of those, hence why I’m giving the ideas away for free. As I said, if you do develop them, consider buying me a beer. (Contact me, and I’ll send you my Paypal ID. £10 should be enough for a good drink).
