Content Writers

I’m running out of time to get all my projects sorted, so I basically need to start outsourcing my work. However, my experience with finding writers has been very hit and miss. I’d love to hear ideas and your experience on hiring different types of content writers.

Feedburner Moved To Google

So my feeds have now moved over to Google, but with their supposedly “more accurate reporting method”, my feed values have dropped significantly. My feed count for Daily Eco Tips was 108 before the move, and it dived to 78 (a 27.7% drop); my feed count for EnviroGadget was 165 before the move, diving to 112 after the move (a 32.1% drop); my feed count for PowerDosh was 43 before the move, and now 23 after the move (a 46.5% drop).

Link Exchange

So here I am again with one of my frustrations in the webmaster world - link exchangers.

Link exchanging, if done correctly, is a perfectly valid method of building backlinks. However, I receive a few link exchange requests per week, and they are worded so badly. So this article is about the don’ts of link exchanges from my own perspective, drizzled in dry wit and sarcasm.

Promoting your DoFollow Blog

Since I added the DoFollow status to PowerDosh, I didn’t see much of a change. I think it was because I hadn’t advertised the fact that the blog was now DoFollow. Therefore in order to promote PowerDosh, I decided to get myself on to a range of DoFollow blog lists. Just from getting on to 2 lists, I’ve seen a number of decent comments appear on the site.

Discussion Bubbles

After reading the post about Gravatars and DoFollow comments on SelfMadeMinds, I thought it was about time that I implemented it on my blog. I was particularly interested in the DoFollow comments to encourage more comments on the site and ideally even increase the number of RSS subscribers by people who choose to stick around.
