Since I added the DoFollow status to PowerDosh, I didn’t see much of a change. I think it was because I hadn’t advertised the fact that the blog was now DoFollow. Therefore in order to promote PowerDosh, I decided to get myself on to a range of DoFollow blog lists. Just from getting on to 2 lists, I’ve seen a number of decent comments appear on the site. After reading the post about Gravatars and DoFollow comments on SelfMadeMinds, I thought it was about time that I implemented it on my blog. I was particularly interested in the DoFollow comments to encourage more comments on the site and ideally even increase the number of RSS subscribers by people who choose to stick around. (more…)

One simple way of making some extra cash is to sell blog posts. I’ve had quite a bit of experience selling blog posts when I used paid blogging as a way of earning extra cash. I’m by no means an expert, but I have learnt some vital lessons. They are all simple tips and make sense with the littlest spot of thought.

Paid blogging is an area of the web that has been a massive growth area in the last couple of years. Blogging has been a massive growth area in itself, and its no surprise that people wanted to make money from doing it. If you’re not familiar with blogging, we’d best start off with a definition. Thanks to elise.com, here’s a pretty good definition of what blogging means nowadays:

Blogging is easy, almost instant, publishing of content to a website, where every entry is preserved in a database and is therefore categorizeable and searchable. Content can be photographs, recipes, restaurant reviews, or anything digitally storable on a computer that you can categorize.
