I’ve been using Paid-To-Click (PTC) sites for a while now to help earn some investment capital for my websites. It’s all been hit and miss, but I have made some money from PTC sites. I’ve received funds from both Wordlinx and Bux.to now.

I don’t bother subscribing to lots of different PTC sites, simply because it’s so time consuming. However, earning money via referrals is a great way to earn with little effort.

Bux.to is probably one of the most well known PTC sites, but they are suffering from really poor payment times, taking several months even for their premium members. Considering their terms state that they pay within 30 business days for premium members, premium members requesting payment in January are only just getting paid! Talk about slow!

I’ve had my first $10 payment from bux.to, but I’m still waiting on the next $53 I requested in March 2008.

Wordlinx is another PTC site that I’ve had much more success with, and had payment within 24 hours! You earn $0.01 per click, but even with just $0.001 per click from a referral, you do earn a reasonable amount over time.

  • $0.01 x 1000 clicks by you = $10 (a lot of clicks)
  • $0.001 x 10000 clicks by referrals = $10
  • So the key to this is to have lots of referrals, even if they don’t click on many adverts
  • Referrals clicking only 10 adverts each, means you need 1000 referrals to earn $10.

When I requested payment, I got paid the next day via Paypal. Wordlinx seems to weed out the time wasters for their PTC site, something that bux.to cannot manage to do.

PTC sites are an interest rather than a key focus for me. I make much more money with websites, but it’s fun seeing if I can get loads of referrals to make me money too!
