Re-inventing The Wheel

I’m reading a number of resources daily, looking for useful information or tools that help me to make my websites more successful. On my travels, I find things that are really worth bookmarking and storing for use at a later date. Rather than re-invent the wheel or rewrite any of these articles, I’ve compiled these resources into this short post! Let me know if you find them useful.

1) Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs

The top 100 make money online blog list is quoted in a number of blogs. It’s a ranking of blogs in this niche using Google Page Rank, Technorati Ranking and Alexa Ranking. It’s an interesting way to rank the sites. The reason why I say its useful is that it gives you a list of other top sites offering great advice about making money.

2) 75+ of the Best Blog Directories and RSS Search Engines

A good start for any blog is to submit your site to as many blog directories and RSS feed engines as possible. This list is useful because it combines 75 of them into a single post for you. The author highlights his favourite 5 too. I haven’t personally submitted my sites to these directories, and now I think that I should!

3) Google Adsense Optimisation Tricks

Vijay has compiled a list of 20 ethical tips to boost your Google Adsense revenue on your websites. This includes using the best advert size, location, and determining what content the Adsense bots use to generate those adverts. This is useful because it helps you make more money from your adverts… I think that’s a great reason!

5) Free Stock Photos

Adding photos to the posts on your blog can help it to stand out from the crowd. Finding copyright free images can be a challenge, but there are a few sites that offer free high quality photos, just like stock.xchng.
